Tracy Winterbottom

Tracy Winterbottom grew up in Lewiston, Idaho and was very active in community musical theatre, concert bands, jazz bands, singing and playing the piano. Her love for music blossomed during these years and led her to the University of Idaho to study music from 2002 to 2011. Tracy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Music and Master of Music degree in Piano Performance from the University of Idaho. Upon finishing her undergraduate degree in 2007, Tracy was named a Level III Finalist of the Music Teacher’s National Association StAR Studio Teacher Fellowship Award. The StAR Award is given “...to a candidate who most clearly demonstrates a strong commitment to the music teaching profession.” (www.mtna.org)

Teaches: Kindermusik, Group Piano Clasees, Individual Piano Lessons

As a graduate student, Tracy was awarded a teaching assistantship and taught introductory group piano classes to freshman and sophomore music majors and minors. Through her studies in piano pedagogy and experience with private piano students for the past 14 years, Tracy finds that she truly enjoys working with students of all ages. Tracy is a licensed Kindermusik educator and taught Kindermusik in Moscow from 2008-­2015. In September 2015, Tracy relocated back to the valley with her husband (Brian) and their four daughters (Aliah ­ age 7.5, Amara ­ age 5, Aryah ­age 3 and Anora ­ age 1). Tracy is currently offering Kindermusik and group piano lessons at 6​th Street Piano Academy in Clarkston, WA. Tracy sees the joy that music brings to her own life and is excited to show it!
